All Fall Down
over ice

2 oz.  Fall fruit shrub- Juicing Apples, Pumpkins, Carrots and Ginger, adding apple cider vinegar and sugar
1 oz.1904 Apple Ginger Whiskey from Baltimore Whiskey Co.
1 oz. Apple Pie Moonshine
1/2 oz Fireball Whiskey
1 oz. Old Pro beer by Union Craft Brewery
1/2 tsp maple syrup (Trees Knees if possible)
1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
smallest pinch of salt

Garnish with Caramelized Cinnamon Stick

Mitzvah 614

1 oz. Pama (pomegranate liquor)
1/2 oz. St Germain (elderflower liquor)
Frozen pomegranate seeds


4 oz. coffee
1 oz. Sabra (orange chocolate liquor)
1 oz. Rum
Whipped Cream

Sprinkle Orange Chocolate shavings. Garnish with burnt orange peel

Orange Muddled Rye Old Fashioned

2 oz. Rye Whiskey
orange peel pieces
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Maraschino/Luxardo cherry
1 tsp granulated sugar or sugar cube


In heavy glass tumbler place orange peel pieces, sugar, and cherry.  Muddle.  Add several ice cubes. Add whiskey.  Stir.  Garnish with orange slice and/or another cherry.

Bourbon Italian Manhattan

2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey
1/2 oz. Disaronno Liquer
2 dashes Peychaud’s (or other) bitters
Luxardo cherry


In cocktail glass over several ice cubes add Bourbon, Disaronno and bitters.  Stir.  Garnish with Luxardo cherry.

For an “up” cocktail, add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake.  Strain into glass. Add Luxardo cherry.

Apple Cider Ginger Bourbon Cocktail


2 oz. Bourbon
1/2 cup Apple Cider
1/2 cup Ginger Beer
Matchsticks of Honeycrisp or SweeTango apples
2 slices fresh ginger
1 cinnamon stick


Add ice to cocktail glass.  Pour in apple cider, ginger beer, ginger slices and Bourbon.  Stir.  Add apple sticks and cinnamon stick.  Enjoy!

“Old Fashioned”


1 1/2 oz bourbon (I prefer Bulleit bourbon)
2 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
2 dashes Angostura orange bitters
teaspoon (approx) simple syrup
Optional splash of club soda

Using a rocks glass, add the ingredients over ice and stir.


1 tbsp salted simple syrup
1 ounce of bourbon
3 ounces of grapefruit juice
Orange peel

Mix the ingredients in a shaker with some ice and strain into a martini glass and serve with an orange peel.  You can also serve on the rocks of you prefer.

White rum
Lime juice
Simple syrup or mint infused simple syrup
Club soda
Fresh mint

Pour 1 ounce of simple syrup
Add to that 1-1/2 to 2 ounces of light rum (depending on the kind of day you had.)
Squeeze in the juice of half a lime.
Add a splash of club soda and stir.
Garnish with a mint sprig and a slice of lime.

Mixology Recipes 3/17/17

Mixologist: Rabbi Moshe Schwartz & Bil Zarch


1 oz Pikesville Rye
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Lemon Juice
1 oz Blood Orange Juice
1/2 oz orange infused simple syrup
Angostura bitters

Pour all ingredients in shaker. Add ice. Shake. Serve in a chilled coupe glass with a blood orange slice.

Gold Rush
2 ounces Pikesville Rye
3/4 ounces lemon juice
3/4 ounces honey simple syrup

Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake for about 10 seconds. Pour over a large ice cube in a rocks glass and garnish with a lemon wheel or peel.

The Begin Again
1.5 oz gin
1 oz grapefruit juice
3/4 oz rosemary simple syrup*
1/2 oz oz lime juice
Extra rosemary or lime for garnish

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Shake well and double-strain into a stemmed cocktail glass (a coupe or martini glass). Garnish with a small branch of rosemary or a lime wedge.

*Rosemary syrup: Boil equal parts sugar and water to a boil along with a very large bunch of fresh rosemary.

Moscow Mule:
vodka, ginger beer, fresh ginger, lime wedge, ice

In Copper Mug or 16oz cup filled with crushed ice, add 2oz vodka, fill rest with ginger beer, pinch of fresh grated ginger, squeeze of lime wedge. Stir and enjoy!

Cider House bourbon Mule:
Cider house mule- bourbon, spiced apple cider, ginger beer, line wedge, ice

In Copper Mug or 16oz cup filled with crushed ice, add 2oz bourbon, 6oz spiced apple cider, fill rest with ginger beer, pinch of fresh grated ginger, squeeze of lime wedge. Stir and enjoy!

Grapefruit Crush:
grapefruit vodka, triple sec, “FRESH SQUEEZED” grapefruit juice, ginger ale

Fill 16oz with ice, add 2oz grapefruit vodka, 1oz triple sec, fresh squeezed grapefruit, splash of ginger ale. Stir and enjoy! Garnish with grapefruit wedge.
