Whether you already enjoy meditation or just want to give it try, this class, taught by Rabbi Ben Shalva and Cantor Melanie Blatt, is where you will find the courage, structure and support to maximize your experience. Cantor Melanie Blatt discovered her passion for health and wellness 10 years ago while combating negative health issues. She became certified as a personal trainer and regularly engages in a variety of physical and mental exercises for self-care. Cantor Blatt has a passion for expression through movement and has studied a variety of techniques including yoga, dance, and meditation. She is an inner and outer explorer: discovering the world through food, traveling, hiking, biking, cooking, and self-reflection.
Susan Weis-Bohlen,is a Chopra Center Certified teacher of Ayurveda and meditation. Susan began meditating in 1992, in the Jewish tradition. Since then she has studied many types of meditation around the world. To our sessions she brings her love of meditation as a path to happiness and fulfillment, as well as a way to create peace and calm in our daily lives. Susan teaches how to meditate, and the vast benefits of meditation, using tools and techniques to make the practice easily accessible to all levels of meditators.

Stephen Siegel, an investment advisor specializing in sustainable, responsible, impact investments, has been a student and teacher of Jewish and Himalayan meditation since 1975. Steve has been blessed with the opportunity to study with many teachers including Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, z”l, Rabbi DovBer Pinson, Rav Avraham Sutton, Sri Swami Rama, Swami Veda Bharati, and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.
Eva Sivan, PhD is a meditation teacher and psychologist. She has been privileged to study mindfulness meditation and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with teachers such as Tara Brach and Saki Santorelli, and is a Trained Teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion, an evidenced-based program developed in UC San Diego’s Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She teaches mindfulness meditation in the community and offers the Mindful Self-Compassion course to individuals, professionals, and students.
Rachel Wohl is a conflict specialist and mindfulness teacher. She is an attorney, mediator, dialogue facilitator, teacher and trainer. She is the owner of Conflict Specialists International, LLC, offering a wide range of conflict prevention, conflict management, conflict resolution and training services. Rachel is an active member of Mediators Beyond Borders International.
