On Pause/Seasonal Program

Rabbi James Jacobson-Maisels will lead a powerful half-day retreat weaving together practice and study and exposing us to the depths of the Jewish spiritual tradition. Participants will be introduced to Jewish mindfulness meditation as well as a variety of other meditative techniques including cultivating a healthier, more joyous and mindful relationship to food and learning how to open, to heal, and stop resisting places of difficulty and struggle within us. Through studying texts from the Jewish mystical tradition together, in a way accessible to everyone, reflecting on our spiritual path and history through sharing and connection, and introducing participants to concrete practices of transformation, we will learn how the Jewish tradition can help us release our stress and tension, soften our hearts, and live in a more joyous, open and connected way.
